B.E COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2009 to render services to the student community to meet as the global industrial experts. The department is well equipped with state of the art laboratories with internet and Wi-Fi facility.
The objective of the department is to develop competent professionals with innovative research capabilities. The students must to do a project on or off-campus in the final year with an option to choose their platform and thus they are exposed to the real time computer problems which will mold them to conquer the challenging IT world.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Computer Engineers have plenty of options to work in IT Companies in departments such as Design, Development, Assembly, Manufacture and Maintenance, etc. Working as Programmer, Web Developer, and eCommerce specialist with Telecommunication Companies, Automotive Companies, Aerospace Companies, etc., can be a lucrative career option as well.
Moreover, numerous national and multi-national computer Manufacturing Companies, Computer Hardware Companies, Computer Networking Companies, Software Development Companies, etc. require computer professionals in large numbers.
SCOPE
True to its global reputation, the Indian IT sector has lots of scope in terms of growth in employment opportunities. According to Nasscom, the Indian IT exports are expected to expand to the tune of US$ 175 billion by 2020. A huge requirement of trained IT Engineers is expected in the forth coming years.
Some of the Multinational Firms and Government sectors who hire Computer Engineers in large are Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Intel, Apple, Sony, Accenture, IBM, Oracle, Honeywell, Facebook, HP, Amazon, Dell, Acer, DRDO, ISRO, ECIL and BEL etc.
VISION
To produce the leaders in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, evolving as a Centre of Excellence for Learning and Research.
MISSION
Computer Science and Engineering Department is committed,
- To develop globally competent engineers capable of providing secure and Out-of-the Box computing and cutting-edge technology solutions.
