About The Department

The department of civil engineering is started in the year 2014-2015. It has been started with the objective to create outstanding diploma engineers, with advanced teaching and learning aids for the students. The department has well qualified faculty members and excellent laboratory facilities. The diploma  program imparts students to master over the field of civil engineering besides knowledge of recent trends and development to shine as a successful engineer. Student gain practical experience from field visit to construction sites, dams and irrigation structures, etc.

Program outcomes (Pos):

  1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  3. Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  5. Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  6. Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  7. Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological activities

Our Diploma Graduates

PEO1: Shall have productive careers in private and government organizations at the national and international level or become successful entrepreneurs.

PEO2: Shall contribute towards the development of society by providing solutions through research and higher studies.

PEO3: Shall have good communication skills, team work and lifelong learning attitude  .

PSO1 :Students will have ability to Plan, analyze, design, prepare cost estimates and execute all kinds of Civil Engineering Projects.
