The Department of Automobile Engineering is dedicated to providing quality technical education and practical training in the field of automotive engineering. The department focuses on developing skilled professionals with strong knowledge of automobile systems, vehicle technology, maintenance, diagnostics, and modern automotive practices.
Students gain hands-on experience through well-equipped laboratories and practical sessions covering automobile engines, vehicle components, automotive electrical and electronics, servicing, maintenance, and vehicle diagnostics. The department emphasizes learning through practical applications, enabling students to understand and troubleshoot real-world automotive systems.
The department also encourages students to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, safety awareness, innovation, and professional ethics. Through industry-oriented training and practical exposure, students are prepared for opportunities in automobile manufacturing, vehicle servicing, maintenance, automotive component industries, diagnostics, and emerging mobility technologies.

Automobile Systems Analysis
Apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics, science, and automobile engineering to understand, analyze, and troubleshoot the major automobile systems such as engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical/electronic systems.
Diagnostics and Maintenance
Identify technical faults in vehicles and perform diagnostics, testing, and maintenance using modern tools, equipment, and standard automotive testing techniques (OBD-II scanners, emission testers, service tools, etc.).
Component Design and Improvement
Assist in the design, modification, and improvement of automotive components, systems, and workshop processes considering performance, cost, safety, manufacturability, and customer requirements.
Safe and Responsible Practice
Implement automotive technologies and service procedures that promote environmental protection, fuel efficiency, emission reduction, road safety, and adherence to ethical and legal standards.
Workshop Management
Plan, manage, and coordinate workshop operations, service tasks, vehicle maintenance schedules, and small projects while communicating effectively with technicians, customers, and team members.
Emerging Automotive Technologies
Demonstrate readiness to learn emerging automotive technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid systems, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and digital diagnostics to remain industry-relevant.
