Industrial Visit Overview

Faculty members of the BTBCE Department, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, visited Encee Aromatics (P) Ltd., Mettupalayam, on 3 January 2026 as part of the department's initiative to strengthen industry–institute interaction.

The visit was organized to provide faculty members with practical exposure to current industrial processes, technologies, quality practices and safety systems, enabling them to connect academic concepts with real-world industrial applications.

About the Industry

Encee Aromatics (P) Ltd. is engaged in the manufacture of aroma chemicals and essential oil derivatives used across a range of industries.

These products find applications in perfumery, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and flavor industries. The visit provided faculty members with an opportunity to understand the processes and quality systems involved in manufacturing these products.

Exposure to Manufacturing Processes

During the visit, company representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the organization's manufacturing operations, production processes, quality control mechanisms and industrial safety practices.

Faculty members participated in a guided tour of the manufacturing units and observed the equipment and systems used at different stages of production.

Process Equipment & Industrial Systems

The guided tour provided practical exposure to important process equipment used within the manufacturing facility, including:

  • Industrial reactors
  • Distillation columns
  • Blending units
  • Raw material handling systems
  • Product storage systems

Process Control & Quality Assurance

Company officials explained the procedures followed for raw material handling, process control and quality assurance. Faculty members gained insights into how different production parameters are managed to maintain consistency and achieve required product standards.

The interaction also highlighted the importance of systematic quality control throughout the manufacturing process and the role of monitoring and process optimization in maintaining product quality.

Safety & Environmental Practices

Special emphasis was placed on the safety and environmental practices implemented within the manufacturing facility.

Faculty members were introduced to industrial safety measures, environmental compliance practices and waste management systems, providing a practical understanding of how manufacturing industries balance productivity, safety and environmental responsibility.
