Symposium Overview
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at JCT College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized “J-Finagles 2026 – A National Level Technical Symposium” on 25 March 2026.
The symposium brought together students from various institutions and provided them with a platform to share knowledge, demonstrate technical skills, showcase innovative ideas and participate in challenging technical and creative competitions.
Objective of J-Finagles 2026
The National Level Technical Symposium was organized as a comprehensive learning experience aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations.
The program encouraged students to enhance their technical and personal skills, explore innovative engineering concepts and develop the confidence required to address real-world engineering challenges.

Address by the Head of the Department
Dr. M. Bhuvaneshwaran, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of participating in technical symposiums.
He encouraged students to actively participate in the various events and utilize the opportunity to improve their technical knowledge, creativity and professional skills.
He emphasized that a National Level Technical Symposium is not merely an event, but a comprehensive learning experience that bridges the gap between academics and industry, enhances technical and personal skills, and prepares students to face real-world challenges.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
J-Finagles 2026 created an opportunity for students, researchers and aspiring engineers from different institutions to come together, exchange knowledge and explore innovations in engineering and technology.
Through technical presentations, project demonstrations, quizzes and design-oriented competitions, participants were encouraged to apply their classroom knowledge to practical challenges.
