Program Overview
The Department of Petrochemical Engineering, in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, organized an inspiring session titled “Motivation Towards Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur” on 11 November 2025 at the JCTCET Seminar Hall.
The program was designed to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, explore innovative ideas and understand the opportunities available within the startup ecosystem.
Inspiring the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow
The primary objective of the session was to motivate students to look beyond conventional career pathways and recognize entrepreneurship and innovation as promising avenues for their professional future.
The program provided students with exposure to startup opportunities, entrepreneurial thinking and the support systems available for aspiring entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into viable ventures.
Inaugural Session
The program commenced with the traditional Tamil Thai Vazhthu, with all participants joining in to formally begin the event.
Mr. K. Tharick, Final Year, Petrochemical Engineering, delivered the Welcome Address. He warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members and students and highlighted the growing importance of entrepreneurship in today's competitive world.
Principal Address
Dr. S. Manoharan, Principal, JCTCET, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to develop innovative ideas and cultivate the confidence required to transform those ideas into meaningful initiatives.
He emphasized the institution's continuous support for entrepreneurial development, creativity and innovation among students and encouraged them to make effective use of the opportunities and resources available to them.
Chief Guest
Mr. Rajasekar Sivasamy
Project Associate – Startup TN, Coimbatore
Mr. M. Bala, Final Year, Petrochemical Engineering, introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. He highlighted Mr. Rajasekar Sivasamy's professional achievements and his contributions towards promoting startups, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Startup Ecosystems
Mr. Rajasekar Sivasamy delivered an insightful and motivational session covering entrepreneurship, innovation and the evolving startup ecosystem.
He encouraged students to develop the ability to identify problems, generate innovative solutions and explore how those solutions can be developed into sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.
The session also emphasized the importance of having an entrepreneurial mindset that combines creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, persistence and willingness to explore new opportunities.
Understanding Startup Support Opportunities
A significant part of the session focused on the various support schemes and opportunities available through Startup TN for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Students gained awareness of how startup support ecosystems can assist budding entrepreneurs in developing their ideas, accessing guidance and moving toward the establishment of sustainable ventures.

The program concluded with the National Anthem. Overall, the session proved to be highly motivational and provided students with a meaningful platform to understand the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in shaping their future.
