Workshop Overview
The B.Tech Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) Department of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, organized a one-day online workshop on “AI Tools for Research Writing” on 20 December 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The workshop was designed to introduce students and faculty members to modern Artificial Intelligence tools that can support academic research, technical writing and scholarly publication.
Objective of the Workshop
The primary objective of the workshop was to create awareness about the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in academic research and demonstrate how researchers can effectively use AI-powered tools throughout the research and writing process.
The program aimed to help participants improve research productivity, organize academic content more efficiently, enhance writing quality and understand the responsible use of AI while preparing scholarly work.

AI in Academic Research & Writing
Dr. G. Susan Shiny shared her knowledge and expertise on the effective use of Artificial Intelligence tools in research activities. The session explored how AI can assist researchers at different stages of academic writing while improving productivity and the overall quality of research work.
Participants were introduced to practical ways of using AI for identifying and organizing information, developing research content, improving language quality and efficiently managing academic references.
