Event Overview

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and the Department of Petroleum Engineering at JCT College of Engineering and Technology (JCTCET) jointly organized a workshop on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Start-ups” on 19 February 2026 at the JCTCET Seminar Hall.

The workshop was organized to provide participants with practical knowledge of sales, marketing, and business growth strategies required to build and scale successful start-ups.

Objective of the Workshop

The primary objective of the workshop was to help participants understand the fundamental principles of sales and marketing for start-ups. The session focused on how emerging businesses can identify their target customers, position their products effectively, develop suitable marketing strategies, and create sustainable approaches for business growth.

The workshop also aimed to promote entrepreneurial thinking among participants by connecting marketing concepts with real-world start-up experiences and practical business scenarios.

Inaugural Session

The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. M. Praveen, Assistant Professor, Department of Petroleum Engineering, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and participants to the workshop.

Dr. K. Ramachandran, Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, JCTCET, delivered the presidential address. His address set an inspiring and encouraging tone for the program and highlighted the importance of developing entrepreneurial and business skills among students.

The Chief Guest was introduced by Prof. M. Praveen, Assistant Professor, Department of Petroleum Engineering.
