JCT College of Engineering and Technology | 24–25 November 2025
Event Overview
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at JCT College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized “InnovateX 2025” on 24 and 25 November 2025.
InnovateX 2025 was a focused two-day student innovation event designed for undergraduate Electrical Engineering students. The event provided a platform for participants to demonstrate working prototypes, present innovative ideas and explore practical solutions to engineering challenges.
Inaugural Session
The program commenced with an inaugural address delivered by Dr. B. Balraj, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He welcomed the participants and encouraged students to make effective use of the platform to showcase their technical knowledge and innovative abilities.
Dr. S. Manoharan, Professor and Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, delivered the Presidential Address. His address emphasized the importance of innovation, practical learning and student involvement in developing solutions relevant to modern engineering and industry.
Two Days of Innovation & Engineering
InnovateX 2025 was structured into two distinct sessions: Demo Day, focusing on working prototypes and practical demonstrations, and Idea Showcase, providing students with an opportunity to present concepts, proposals and engineering system designs.
Day 1 | 24 November 2025
Demo Day – From Concepts to Working Prototypes
The first day of InnovateX 2025 focused on functioning prototypes and live demonstrations of student projects.
Participants demonstrated their engineering solutions and explained the technical concepts, design approaches and practical applications behind their projects.
Demo Day encouraged students to move beyond theoretical concepts and apply their engineering knowledge through hands-on development, experimentation and practical implementation.
Day 2 | 25 November 2025
Idea Showcase – Presenting the Future
The second day featured the Idea Showcase, where students presented their conceptual ideas, proposals and system designs through structured slide presentations.
Participants pitched their ideas and explained the problems they aimed to address, their proposed engineering approaches and the potential applications of their solutions.
The session provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their presentation and communication abilities while developing confidence in presenting technical ideas before an audience.
Key Focus Areas
- Development and demonstration of working prototypes
- Innovative engineering ideas and conceptual solutions
- Practical application of classroom knowledge
- Technical presentation and idea pitching
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork
- Industry-oriented engineering and problem solving
Encouraging Hands-On Learning
A major objective of InnovateX 2025 was to encourage hands-on learning. Through prototype development and live demonstrations, students had the opportunity to apply engineering principles learned in the classroom to practical applications.
The event encouraged participants to experiment, identify challenges, refine their ideas and develop solutions through practical engineering approaches.
Collaboration & Industry-Oriented Thinking
InnovateX 2025 encouraged students to work collaboratively and approach engineering challenges from different technical perspectives.
By combining technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork and practical problem-solving, the event helped participants develop an industry-oriented mindset and understand the importance of innovation in modern engineering.
Developing Future Innovators
The two-day event served as a platform for students to transform their technical knowledge into meaningful ideas and working solutions. It also provided opportunities to improve important professional skills such as communication, teamwork, technical presentation and innovative thinking.
By combining prototype demonstrations with conceptual idea presentations, InnovateX 2025 supported students at different stages of innovation, from early-stage ideas to practical implementation.
Vote of Thanks
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. V. Saravanakumar.
He expressed sincere gratitude to the Management, Principal and Head of the Department for their support in organizing the event. He also thanked the faculty members and students for their active involvement and contribution toward making InnovateX 2025 a grand success.
Event Outcome
InnovateX 2025 successfully created an environment where undergraduate students could design, demonstrate, present and discuss innovative engineering solutions.
The event strengthened practical learning, encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration and motivated students to approach engineering challenges with creativity and an industry-focused perspective.
Imagine. Innovate. Demonstrate.
InnovateX 2025 provided aspiring engineers with a dynamic platform to turn ideas into practical solutions, showcase their creativity and develop the innovation-driven mindset required for the future of engineering.
