Workshop Overview
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology (JCTCET), Coimbatore, in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) – Student Chapter, successfully organized a one-day technical workshop titled “Modern ASIC Design” on 28 January 2026.
The workshop was organized to expose students to emerging developments in semiconductor technology, ASIC design and VLSI systems while providing insights into the technical skills and industry knowledge required to pursue careers in the semiconductor domain.
Objective of the Workshop
The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce students to modern Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design and help them understand its importance in today's rapidly growing semiconductor industry.
The program aimed to bridge the gap between academic concepts and industry practices by exposing participants to ASIC design methodologies, tool chains, VLSI technologies and real-world applications.

Technical Session on Modern ASIC Design
