Program Overview
JCT College of Engineering and Technology hosted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “VLSI Design & Methodologies” from 19 to 23 January 2026.
The program was conducted under the prestigious E & ICT Academy – Phase II initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, with a focus on strengthening faculty expertise in the rapidly evolving field of VLSI and semiconductor technologies.

The Faculty Development Program was conducted as part of the E & ICT Academy – Phase II initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. The initiative supports the development of advanced technical competencies and industry-relevant knowledge among faculty members and researchers.
Objective of the FDP
The primary objective of the Faculty Development Program was to enhance faculty competence in advanced semiconductor technologies, VLSI design methodologies, design automation tools and industry-oriented teaching practices.
The program was designed to help faculty members strengthen their technical foundations while gaining exposure to contemporary developments in semiconductor and VLSI technologies.
Five Days of Advanced Technical Learning
Conducted over five days, the FDP provided an academic platform for faculty members, academicians and researchers to deepen their understanding of VLSI design and methodologies while exploring developments relevant to modern semiconductor engineering.
Key Focus Areas
The FDP focused on strengthening knowledge and competencies across important areas of VLSI and semiconductor technology, including:
- VLSI design concepts and methodologies
